Project : “Elucidating the role of NbUBC2 and NbHUB1 of the histone mono-ubiquitination machinery in geminivirus pathogenesis”. 

Position Available for Junior Research Fellowship (One) 

Duration: The above-mentioned position is completely temporary and is co-terminus with the project. Appointed person will be expected to stay in the lab for the entire period of the project. 

Salary : - Rs. 31000/- plus HRA (as per DST rules and guidelines for JRF). 

Qualifications : - Eligible candidates should have a Post Graduate Degree in Life Sciences / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Genetics / Plant Molecular Biology / and CSIR / UGC/ICAR JRF or NET qualified. 

Candidates having research experience in the area of Epigenetics / DNA-protein interactions / protein-protein interaction/Host-virus interaction/ any other areas of Plant Virology will be preferred. 

General information:- The competent authority may select candidate in the lower position against the above posts depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate and reserves the right to relax any of the qualification(s) in case the candidate is found otherwise well qualified by the Selection Committee. Project: Divulge key secreted virulence effectors of wheat spot blotch fungal pathogen Bipolaris sorokiniana and identify their host targets for disease management in wheat. 

Required Qualifications: A Ph.D. degree in Biological Sciences and should be proficient in molecular biology and recombinant DNA techniques. 

Desirable Qualifications: Candidates having research experience in the area of plant-pathogen interactions, functional genomics, duly supported with relevant publications in SCI journals will be preferred. 

Nature and tenure of the position: The position is purely temporary in nature and will terminate with project completion.

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE-I POSITION 

Project: ‘Functional Characterization of Novel Plasmodium falciparum Blood-Stage Genes by Genome Editing Technologies for the Identification of New Drug/Vaccine Interventions for Malaria” by Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. 

Required Qualifications: A Ph.D. degree in Biological Sciences. Proficient in molecular cloning and recombinant DNA techniques. At least 1 first author article in Science Citation Indexed journal. 

Desirable Qualifications: Experience in cell culture techniques including maintenance of culture aseptically. Protein expression and purification. Antibody generation in rodents and purification of immunoglobulins. 

Nature and tenure of the position: The position is purely temporary in nature and will terminate with project completion.
