Qualifications
1. Post Graduate Degree in Basic Sciences or Professional course
with specialization in Biotechnology/Microbiology/Marine
Science/Zoology with NET/GATE/ ICMR/ any other National
Eligibility Tests
or
2. Post Graduate Degree in Basic Sciences with specialization in
Biotechnology/Microbiology/Marine Science/Zoology
Desired Skills
Research experience in the field of metagenomics, microbial
culturing (aerobes and/or anaerobes)
and/or
Working experience in marine fieldwork, identification and
handling of marine fauna
Fellowship
A. For candidates having qualifications (as per DST, GoI, Office
memorandum SR/S9/Z-08 /2018 Dt. 30/01/2019) mentioned at
no. 1, the fellowship as per GSBTM will be Rs. 31,000/- +
HRA (The candidate will be paid 20% HRA of previous
fellowship Rs. 25,000/- (as per DST, GoI, Office memorandum
SR/S9/Z-09 /2012 Dt. 21/10/2014)).
B. For candidates having qualifications mentioned at no. 2, the
fellowship as per GSBTM will be Rs. 23,213/- Fixed (HRA will
not be entitled).
Age limit Preferably below 35 years
Duration of fellowship Initially for 1 year and extendable to one more year, subject to
satisfactory performance.
Selection process
Candidates will be shortlisted for interview based on their
qualifications and experience.
The interview date will be intimated by email and have to
appear for the interview at their own expense (No TA/DA shall
be provided).
