NBPGR Genomics Project Scientist Walk IN

Eligible candidates are invited to attend a "Walk-in-Interview” for the post of Project Scientist II in the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) funded network project on wheat subproject “Germplasm Genomics for trait discovery” at NBPGR, New Delhi. The details of the position are given below. 

Name of PI: Dr. Amit Kumar Singh 

Project end date: 28 Feb 2025 

Interview Date: 22/05/2023

Place: Division of Genomic Resources, Room number B01, NBPGR old campus, New Delhi 

 Rs 67000 + 24% HRA 

Essential qualification: 

1. Doctoral Degree in Bio-informatics/Molecular Biology/ Life Sciences or Master's Degree in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Bio-informatics/Biotechnology/Life sciences from a recognized University or equivalent 
2. Three years’ relevant experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services. 

Desirable Qualification: 

I. Experience of large-scale SNP genotyping and resequencing data analyses, trait mapping, and construction of de nova-genome assemblies 
II. Publications in high impact journals 

Upper age limit: 40 years 

Terms and Conditions 

• Candidates are requested to ensure their eligibility like age, qualification etc. before appearing for the interview 
• Candidates having essential qualification will only be considered for interview. 
• No TA/DA and official accommodation will be provided for appearing in the interview. 
• The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project, selected candidate has no right to claim for regularization or absorption whatsoever in ICAR/NBPGR The decision of Director of the institute will be final and binding in all aspects. 
• The Director shall also reserve the right to terminate the contract of job as mentioned above, even before the completion of the project for which no appeal thereof shall be made 
• Candidates are required to bring the relevant certificates/ mark sheets etc in original along with an application with full bio-data enclosing photocopies of certificates and mark sheets from matriculation onwards, first page of the research publications, work experience and award certificates etc. 
• The selected candidates are required to produce medical certificate at the time of joining. 
• In case pf any dispute, it will be resolved in the jurisdiction of New Delhi court only.
