Applications are invited for the Junior Research Fellow (one post) in the SERB funded project titled “Direct and Indirect Measurements on Electrocaloric Effect in ABO3-type Perovskite Structured Materials for Next Generation Refrigeration Technology” in the laboratory of Dr. Satyendra Singh, Special Centre for Nanoscience (SCNS), Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi-110067.
Essential Qualifications: The applicant must have M.Sc degree in Physics with a minimum of 55 % marks and should have qualified UGC/CSIR-NET or GATE.
Desirable Qualifications: Candidate should have at-least one year work experience in any experimental Physics/Materials Science laboratory and should have published at-least one publication in a journal.
Candidates having previous experience in synthesis and characterization of ceramics with knowledge of Electrocaloric Effect are strongly encouraged to apply.
Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- plus HRA (As per SERB norms).
Duration: The post is co-terminus with the project and the selected candidate will be appointed on a purely temporary basis initially for a period of six months, which will be renewed, based on satisfactory performance, for the remaining tenure of the project as per SERB norms.

Eligibility/Qualification required: M.Sc in any branch of biological sciences/ Bioinformatics. The candidate should be CSIR/UGC/NET/GATE qualified.
Desirable: Candidates with prior experience working in protein extraction and expression analysis, Basic molecular Biology techniques, RNA-seq analysis, plant transformation and tissue culture, and plant metabolite analysis.
Fellowship amount: Rs 31,000/ + Permissible House Rent Allowance
Tenure: The position is purely temporary, renewable after one year and will continue until March 2025 (the end of project) based on satisfactory performance.
