Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the project
entitled ‘Actinobacterial species from marine environment: As plant growth promoter and biocontrol agent’
(GSBTM/JD(R&D)/663/2023-24/02004111) sponsored by Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission, DST, Government of
Gujarat, Gandhinagar under research support scheme at P. D. Patel Institute of Applied Sciences, Charotar
University of Science and Technology. The post is purely temporary.
Position: Junior research fellow (JRF).
Eligibility: Minimum qualification of JRF: M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry/Life Sciences with
minimum 55% marks.
Desirable qualifications: CSIR-UGC NET/DBT-JRF/ICMR-JRF/GATE qualified candidates will be preferred.
Candidates having experience in handling microbial cultures, handling plants during pot-study, field study are
encouraged to apply.
Age limit: 28 years.
Fellowship duration: 3 years (subject to satisfactory performance).
Fellowship:
(i) Rs 31,000 + HRA @ pm for M.Sc. who are selected through
(a) National eligibility tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship or GATE or
(b) a selection process through National level examinations conducted by central government
departments and their agencies and institutes.
(ii) Rs 23,213 fixed @ pm for others, i.e. M.Sc. who do not fall under (a) and (b) above.
