Applications are invited to attend Online Interview (through video conferencing) for one position each of Junior Research Fellow and Field Worker in a DBT-funded project (24-834), purely on contractual/ temporary basis will be held at Division of Genetics, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi-110012. The eligible candidates interested in online interview are requested to send their application in the enclosed proforma along with the self-attested scanned copies of the original documents in single PDF file to the email address prashanth.h@icar.gov.in on or before 06.02.2024, 05.00 PM. After screening the applications, the eligible candidates will be informed about the details of the online interview (Date and Time) by email. Original documents will be verified at the time of appointment. If any candidate is found to have submitted false claims at a later stage, their candidature will be summarily rejected. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) 

Rs. 37,000 + 24% HRA p.m. 

Essential Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course (master’s degree in Genetics / Plant Breeding/ Genetics and Plant Breeding / Agricultural Biotechnology) selected through a process described through any one of the following: 

1. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE. 
2. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc. 

Desirable Qualification: Candidate understanding plant breeding trials, experience of handling field crops, crossing techniques and research experience in wheat breeding and its molecular biology would be desired. 

2. DBT funded project on “Diversifying resistance base in Indian lead wheat cultivars: through marker aided introgression of rust resistant genes from NILs developed under DBTIACBGF project” 

Field Worker 

Rs. 18,000 + 24% HRA p.m. 

Essential: Graduate Degree in any discipline 

Desirable: Experience in field and lab work related to agriculture.
