RECRUITMENT OF TWO JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF) AND ONE PROJECT ASSISTANT (PA) POSITIONS THROUGH WALK-IN INTERVIEW TO BE HELD ON 26/02/2024. 

Applications are invited by the undersigned from the eligible candidates to attend a walk-in interview for two Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and one Project Assistant (PA) positions to be recruited for the following Central Silk Board funding research project through a walk-in interview. 

1 Project Code: SPP09004MNC: Studies on virulence status of different microsporidian species in silkworm (Bombyx mori L). In collaboration with SBRL Bangalore, KSSRDI Thalagattapura, APSSRDI Hindupur and CSR&TI, Mysore 

Jan 2024 to Dec 2026 (3 years) 

JRF- 01 

SSTL, Kodathi, Bangalore 

Sample collection from the field, Assistance in the laboratory experiments, bioassay work and other project related works. 35 years as on notification (relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST & women candidates) 

M.Sc. in Life Sciences (Sericulture / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Entomology / Zoology/Botany etc.) With minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates). 

Desirable: The candidate having exposure to Sericulture activities. 

Rs. 31,000 + HRA for 1st two years & Rs. 35,000+ HRA for the third year for candidate with NET/ GATE qualification. Rs. 21,000 + HRA for 1st two years & Rs. 25,000 + HRA for the third year for candidate without NET/ GATE qualification. 

2 JRF- 01 

Seri Biotech Research Laboratory (SBRL), Bangalore 

Assistance in laboratory experiments, and other project related works. 

M.Sc. in Life Sciences (Biotechnology/ Microbiology / Biochemistry / Botany/ Zoology/ Biology/Genetics etc.) 

With minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates). -Jan 2024 to Dec 2026 (3 years) 

Project Assistant 01 

SSTL, Kodathi, Bangalore 

Assistance in Sample collection, laboratory and bioassay works. Support in other project related works. 30 years as on notification (relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST & women candidates) 

B.Sc. in Life Sciences (Sericulture / Microbiology / Biochemistry/ Biology / Zoology/Botany etc.) 

With minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates). 

Rs. 20,000 for degree with PG Diploma in Sericulture. 
Rs. 15,000 for degree without PG Diploma in Sericulture. 

Note: 

1. Eligible candidates may appear for an interview at SSTL, Carmelaram post, Kodathi, Bangalore-560035. 
2. Walk-in interview starts at 9.30 AM on February 26, 2024. 
3. Eligible candidates with provisional or degree certificates and mark sheets for all semesters including the final semester of B.Sc. or M.Sc. or consolidated mark sheets for all semesters only will be eligible to attend the interview. 
4. The originals of all the supportive documents mentioned above should be presented for verification at the time of the interview. 
5. A passport size photograph, one photocopy each of certificates and marks sheets for educational qualifications from SSLC, PUC/ HSC, B.Sc., M.Sc., date of birth, NOC from present employer if any, research experience certificate, and caste certificate for SC/ST candidates, along with valid e-mail ID and telephone/mobile numbers should be submitted at the time of interview. 
6. Applications will NOT be accepted by post/ e-mail/ courier. 
7. No TA or DA will be provided to attend the interview. 
8. The above mentioned positions are purely temporary, on contractual basis and are co-terminus with the project. Further claim for any post will not be entertained thereafter. 
9. Canvassing in any form will lead to cancellation of candidature. 10.The decision of the Director-NSSO shall be final and binding in all respects.
