Applications are now open for the position of Lab Assistant at BIRAC’s BioNEST Bioincubator (B3I) Facility, situated at
North-Eastern Hill University's Tura Campus in Meghalaya.
POSITION DETAILS:
Number of Positions: 02 (Two)
Nature of Position: This is a purely temporary role for an initial period of 1 year, with the possibility of extension
based on performance.
Appointments will be co-terminus with the project's expiry. There is no implicit or explicit claim
for permanent absorption into the University.
Age Limit: Applicants should be less than 35 years old as of the date of publication of this advertisement.
Pay Scale: Rs. 24,200/- per month (consolidated) as per BIRAC Norms
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Food Sciences, or Life Sciences with a
minimum of 3 years of laboratory experience; OR
• Master's degree (M.Sc.) in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Food Sciences, or Life Sciences with a
minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience.
Desirable Qualifications:
• Proficiency in computers, including familiarity with MS-Office, Desktop Publishing, and Website Management
through Content Management Systems.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
Meeting the minimum qualifications and experience does not guarantee an interview. Only shortlisted candidates by
a duly constituted Screening Committee will be contacted. If a large number of applications are received, the Screening
Committee may limit the number of candidates called for an interview. The decision of the Committee will be final,
and no interim inquiries will be entertained.
