The Junior Research Fellow – JRF [2], requirement (number and qualification) for the project
entitled “Genetic Improvement of Common Carp Cyprinus carpio for Inland Saline
Aquaculture: Strain development for underutilized water resources (Phase I)” under
PMMSY is given below:
Rs. 31000/- + 8%
HRA per month
Essential Qualification:
M.F Sc. in any discipline of Fisheries
Science/ M Sc. Life Science /M.Sc.
Zoology/ M.Sc. Animal Science
Desirable: (Working experience in any
one or more as given below)
Experience in Genetics / Biotechnology /
Aquaculture / Soil and Water Analysis /
Molecular Biology/ Statistical Data
Analysis
Job requirement:
The candidates maybe asked towork
any where in India as per the
requirements of the project.
The candidates with knowledge on
following will be preferred: Collection
of stocks and transportation, Induced
spawning of fish, PIT tagging, Nursery
rearing and feeding management, Pond
management, Recording of growth related traits, Genetic analysis of data,
Molecular biology, Inland saline
aquaculture.
The Candidates must have sound
knowledge of Computer applications
and report writing. Candidates must have good
communication skills.

Project norms:
Salary of JRF will be as per ICAR/DST rules plus HRA as applicable
