ICAR-CENTRAL INSTITUTE FOR COTTON RESEARCH 

REGIONAL STATION,

The eligible candidates are invited to appear for a Written Test Based, Walk-in-interview for the temporary (contractual) Position of Senior Research Fellow (02 Nos.), and Young Professionals II (02 Nos.), Young Professional -I (03 Nos) and Project Associate (02 Nos) as detailed below: Venue: ICAR-Central Institute for Cotton Research, Regional Station, Sirsa 

Reporting time: 09:00am 

1. Senior Research Fellow (SRF) (Two Nos.) 

Monthly Stipend: Rs.31,00 0/- + HRA per month 

Essential Qualification: M.Sc.(Agriculture)with Specialization in Agricultural Entomology/Plant Pathology /Nematology 

Desirable Qualification: Working knowledge in computer and Willingness to stay/work in the selected village/ District (Sirsa/ Sriganganagar) 

Nature of work: Field/Lab research work “IRM:PBW” Project (Sirsa & Sriganganagar )

2. Young Professional-I (YP-I) (Two Nos.) 

Monthly stipend Rs.30,000/- (Consolidated Pay per month) 

Essential Qualification: B.Sc. in Agriculture 

Desirable Qualification: Willingness to stay/work in the selected village/ District (Sirsa/ Sriganganagar) 

Nature of work: Field/Lab research work “IRM:PBW” Project (Sirsa & Sriganganagar )

Monthly stipend Rs.42,000/- (Consolidated Pay per month) 

Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Genetics/ Genetics & Plant Breeding/Plant Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/Life Science. 

Desirable: Ph.D. in Genetics/ Genetic & Plant Breeding/Plant Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/Life Science. 

Experience of conducting laboratory/ Field/Plot experiments in the area of plant biotechnology including DNA/RNA isolation; PCR procedure, Q-RT PCR Procedure; Recording, organizing and analysis of experimental data. “Evaluation of GEAC approved Bt cotton hybrids in NZ”

Essential Qualification: Master of Science in Agriculture

2. Ph.D. in Agronomy/Soil Science.

Desirable Qualification: M.Sc in Zoology, Biochemistry, Physiology, Botany, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology 

Nature of work: Field/Lab research work DST-SERB Project
