Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
in a SERB funded research project with the following details:

Genomic Diversity and Function analysis of chemosensory systems and
chemoreceptor proteins along with identification of sensory ligand
molecules in family Vibrionaceae organisms

Minimum
educational
qualification
(a) MTech in Computational Biology / Bioinformatics/ Computer
Science or any other related area
(or)
(b) MSc degree in Computational Biology / Bioinformatics / Computer
Science or any other related area and qualified GATE/ CSIR-UGC
NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship), or any other
National-level examination conducted by Central Govt.
Departments and their agencies and Institutions such as DBT, DST,
MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc (need not be valid).
6 Desirable Experience in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics with a focus on
programming languages
7 Salary Rs. 31,000 + HRA as applicable

Tenure of
employment 12 months (Extendable by up to 24 months based on performance)

• The fellowship may be terminated with a 30-day notice before completion of the tenure
if performance is not deemed satisfactory.
