Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for a DBT-funded research project at CSB-Central Tasar Research and Training Institute, Ranchi.
Project Title: Development of KASP Based SNP Barcoding System for the Molecular Identification of Tropical Tasar Silkworm Ecoraces.

Position Details:
• Position Name: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
• Number of Posts: 01
• Qualification:
oM.Sc./M.Tech in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Zoology/Genomics or equivalent with 55% marks.
oNET-CSIR-UGC NET, including lectureship/DST/DBT/DAE/DOS/DRDO/ MoE/ICAR/ICMR/IIT/IISc/IISER/NISER, etc., and GATE.
• Desirable Experience: Experience in molecular work, genome/transcriptome analysis.
• Fellowship: Rs. 37,000/- + 16% HRA
• Duration: Two years or until the end of the project, whichever is earlier.
• Age Limit: 28 years (age relaxation up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/women/physically challenged candidates as per rules).
• Place of Working: CTR&TI, Ranchi

• Engagement is purely on a temporary/contract basis.
• Immediate joining is expected upon selection.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
• The engagement will initially be for one year, extendable based on satisfactory performance.
• The position is co-terminus with the project.
