NATIONAL BRAIN RESEARCH CENTRE (NBRC) invites application for the position of
“Project Assistant (Project)” under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS) funded project
entitled “Early diagnostic of structural and functional decline in brain circuits stemming from
traumatic injuries in professional athletes playing contact sports”.
Candidate interested in molecular biology, and fulfilling the following requirements can submit

Name of the post Project Assistant (Project)
Essential Qualification Masters’ degree in Natural Sciences or Agricultural Sciences /
MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or
Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent with
minimum 60% marks. Candidate should be highly motivated to
work in a collaborative environment with other students and
post doctoral fellows.
Desirable experience Experience in animal handling, basic histological techniques
biochemistry and cell biology will be preferred.
Fellowship (i) ₹ 31,000/- pm (consolidated) for those who have qualified any
of the national level examinations conducted by central government
departments and their agencies and institutions (CSIR-UGC-NET,
GATE, JGEEBILS, DBT / ICMR-JRF or similar).
(ii) ₹ 25,000/- pm (consolidated) for those who do not fall under (i)
above. No other allowances are applicable.

Tenure The tenure will be for a period of one year extendable another year
based on performance review and validity of the project. The post
is co-terminus with the project.
