University of Calcutta Plant Biotech JRF Walk IN


Applications are invited from the interested and eligible candidates for a post of JRF in the DBT funded project entitled ‘Deciphering the regulatory mechanism operative in dihydroflavonol 4-reductase (DFR) gene: a late anthocyanin biosynthesis pathway gene in black rice variety.’ under Dr. Sudipta Ray, Department of Botany, University of Calcutta, Kolkata. The project is funded by Department of Biotechnology (Sanction No.BT/PR47785/AGIII/103/1403/2023 dated 31/07/2024). 

The engagement will be for 36 (thirty-six) months. 

Date of interview: 12.12.2024 Time: 11:30 am onwards 

Essential qualification: Post Graduate degree in Botany with valid Net / GATE or equivalent Qualification 

Desirable qualifications: Hands on experience in tissue culture and molecular biology 

Tenure: 36 (thirty-six) months 

 Remuneration: According to DBT (GOI) 

N.B:

● Application material should include a cover letter, detailed CV and scanned copy of selfattested testimonials (B.Sc. marksheet and certificate, M.Sc. marksheet and certificate). The digital copies will be verified with original ones at the time of interview. Candidate must mention a valid email ID and mobile number in her/his application. 
● If candidates meet the required eligibility conditions, then they are automatically allowed to appear for a walk-in interview on the above-mentioned date. No further email intimation shall be given. 
● The eligible candidates should carry self-attested hard copies testimonials along with respective originals for verification on the date of interview. 
● No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
