NBRC Drosophila Molecular Biology Project Opening


NATIONAL BRAIN RESEARCH CENTRE (NBRC) invites application to the post of “Project Associate I (Project)” in SERB funded project entitled “Role of P13K/Akt Signaling in Spinocerebellar Ataxia-3 in Drosophila Model”. Interested candidate fulfilling the following requirements can submit duly filled in hard copy application as per attached format along with CV and self-attested copies of certificates in support of their qualifications and experience latest by 22st December, 2024 to “Administrative Officer (Academics), National Brain Research Centre, Nainwal Mode, Gurugram-122 052 (Haryana)”. 

Name of the post Project Associate-I (Project)

Essential Qualification Masters’ degree in Natural Sciences or Agricultural Sciences / MVSc or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent with minimum 60% marks. 

Desirable Qualification Experience in basic molecular biology technique. Experience in Drosophila handling in desirable. Candidate should be highly motivated to work in an academic environment. 

Fellowship (i) ₹ 31,000/- + 08% HRA pm for those who have qualified any of the national level examinations conducted by central government departments and their agencies and institutions (CSIR-UGC-NET, GATE, JGEEBILS, DBT / ICMR-JRF or similar). (ii) ₹ 25,000/- + 08% HRA pm for those who do not fall under (i) above. No other allowances are applicable. 

Age limit Maximum 35 years (as on the last date of receipt of application) 

Project Investigator Dr. M. Dhruba Singh, Scientist IV, NBRC 

Tenure The tenure will be for one year and renewable for one more year upon successful review of performance. The post is co-terminus with the project. 

Accommodation Accommodation may be provided as per rules of NBRC, subject to availability.
