Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Minimum Essential Qualification

1. 1st Class in MSc (Physics). holders, GATE / GPAT / CSIR-NET JRF Qualified is mandatory with valid GATE score as per Institute rule. 
2. First Class Postgraduate Degree / M.Tech (minimum 60% or CGPA 6.5) including integrated PG degrees in Engineering or Basic Sciences. OR First Class Graduate Degree of Four Years (minimum 60% or CGPA 6.5) in Engineering/IT/CS (GATE Qualified mandatory for Graduate degree holders with valid GATE score) 
3. All educational qualifications / certificates shall be from the recognized Board / University. 
4. All experience gained shall be preferably from Govt. Organisations and shall be counted from the date of completion 

Desirable Qualification

1. MSc Physics, Having interest in Optics and Optical Instrumentation will be more suitable for the work 
2. M.E/ M.Tech / MSc in Biomedical Engineering/ Electronics Engineering/ Applied Physics/ Optics/ Materials Engineering/Biotechnology/Chemistry 
3. Prior experience of working with MIcrofluidics/ Signal and Images analysis/ Optics for Biomedical/ biosensors / bio-electronics / electrochemistry is more desirable. 

Job Description

1. Design, Development and testing of Point-of-Care device in the lab setting. 
2. Development of electronic data read out and test platforms for sensors in collaboration with other team members. 
3. Preparing and maintaining documents for project related work. 
4. Liaising with project partner organizations, both clinical and manufacturing on collaborative tasks related to the project. 
5. Attending and presenting research work at premier conferences, meetings. 
6. Option will be available to candidate to register for PhD at NIT Rourkela will subject to fulfillment of Institute eligibility criteria for PhD admission.
