Applications are invited for the post of Project Associate to work on SPVF (Sree Padmavathi Venkateswara Foundation) funded, Sree Ramakrishna Paramahamsa Research Grant, (Sree PVF/ GA/AS/23/1)[For a limited period of time] Dr Sachin A Mandavgane, Principal Investigator, Professor and Chem Engg 

Title of the project Valorization of postharvest agro waste( with C/N>50) using indigenous fibrinolytic enzymes 

Post Project Associate 

Duration of the Project 2 years 

Essential qualification M. Tech/ M.E in Chemical Engineering (Specialization in Bioprocessing/ Biochemical Engineering), Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering, Biochemical Engineering 

Desired qualification 

1) Knowledge of both biology/microbiology and mathematics 
2) Bioprocess Engineering 
3) Enzyme technology 
4) Microbial Engineering, primary and secondary metabolite production 
5) Design of experiments and handling of analytical instruments like Spectrophotometer, Fermenter, GC, HPLC, FTIR, TOC, Bioreactor, etc 


About the project work 

Wet lab: Enzyme production, Solid State Fermentation, Process Optimization, Downstream Processing, Scale-up, Dry Lab : Process optimization tools, Origin, Excel, Data analysis Preference Candidate having a degree from or experience of working in a National Level institute, having prior dissertation project/work experience in relevant field, and publication in SCI indexed journal Stipend Rs 35,000 p.m. (Fixed consolidated) Nature of post The post is on contract basis upto a maximum period of Two Years subject to satisfactory performance evaluation every Six months. Essential qualification Graduate in any discipline with MBA/PGDBM/equivalent or with relevant experience. 

Desired qualification Graduate in Engineering/Agricultural Sciences/Biotechnology 

Should be proficient in writing Proposals, Business Plan, Financial Reporting, SWOT Analysis, Cash Flow Analysis, Market Study, Sales Plan, Executive Summary, etc 

Awareness of AI/ML tools like chatgpt for improving efficiency and productivity 


About the project work Executive assistance to PI, The main tasks will be handling office and field management duties, making travel arrangements, handling calendar events, organizing reports and documents, answering phone calls, setting up meetings 

Stipend Rs 25,000 p.m. (Fixed consolidated) 

Nature of post The post is on contract basis upto a maximum period of Two Years subject to satisfactory performance evaluation every Six months.
