The Institute for Stem Cell Science & Regenerative Medicine (www.instem.res.in), Bangalore is an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. BRIC-inStem’s mandate is to establish collaborative research programs in the field of stem cell biology, regeneration, and repair in development and disease, with an emphasis on translation. 

To develop strengths in focused areas, research at iBRIC-inStem is driven through collaborative interdisciplinary teams, addressing questions that are beyond the scope of a single laboratory. iBRIC-inStem invites applications (online) from eligible candidates for contractual position of following Scientific position in the Developmental Chromatin Dynamics laboratory of Dr. Srinivas Animireddy (https://instem.res.in/people/srinivas-animireddy/). 

We are looking for dedicated professionals who are result-oriented, can assimilate, analyze and communicate data effectively and are excellent team players capable of working in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment. 

Junior Research Fellow 

Rs. 37,000/m+ HRA (NET Qualified) Rs. 30,000/m+ HRA (Non-NET Qualified) 

Age limit - 35 years 

Essential Qualification M.Sc (Lifesciences) or M.Sc (Biotech) (3+2 years stream) or MSc Bioinformatics 

Optional Qualification 

• Experience in programming (R, Python, or related languages). 
• Expertise in genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, and next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis. 
• Perform analysis of epigenomic and transcriptomic sequencing datasets. 
• Plan and execute experiments, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with laboratory protocols. 
• Conduct literature reviews, analyse experimental data, and prepare regular project updates and presentations. 
• Participate actively in group meetings and contribute intellectually to project development and scientific discussions. 
• Assist with experimental studies involving routine mammalian cell culture. 

Tenure: Contractual appointment for 11 Eleven months, renewable based on requirement and review of progress and requirement of the Grant.
