RECRUITMENT NOTIFICATION 

1. BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) is an Institute of the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council, Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. The institute is an integral part of the interdisciplinary NCR Biotech Science Cluster located at Faridabad, and is designed as a dynamic, interactive organization with the mission to conduct innovative translational research and to develop research collaborations across disciplines and professions to translate concepts into products to improve human health. 

2. BRIC-THSTI has built several inter-institutional collaborations and connectivity with industry supported by well-trained teams of research and laboratory staff. THSTI has established various centres namely 

(a) Centre for Maternal and Child Health, 
(b) Centre for Viral Therapeutics and Vaccines 
(c) Centre for Tuberculosis Research 
(d) Centre for Microbial Research, 
(e) Centre for Immunobiology and Immunotherapy 
(f) Centre for Drug Discovery 
(g) Clinical Development Services Agency 
(h) Computational and Mathematical Biology Centre 
(i) Centre for Bio-design and Diagnostics. 

These centres are strengthened by many core facilities viz. Bioassay Laboratory, Biorepository, Biosafety Level -3 Lab, Data Management Centre, Immunology Core laboratory, Multi-Omics facility, Experimental Animal Facility, Vaccine design and Development facility, School of Innovation in Bio design etc that serve as huge resources for the research programmes of THSTI and also the National Capital Region Biotech Science Cluster and other academic and industrial partners. 

3. This recruitment is to fill up the vacancies of BRIC-THSTI under the following project: Educational Qualification and Experience required for the post:

PI : Dr. Nitya Wadhwa 

1. Teaching Associate (Biostatistics) 

Essential qualifications: Ph.D. in Statistics/ Biostatistics with at least one (1) year of postqualification research and/or teaching experience. 

• To support the teaching needs of the M.Sc. in Clinical Research program (with a One post Upto Rs. 1,92,000/- 

45 years 

Note: The pay will commensurate to the number of years of experience and performance in the Interview. OR 
M.Sc. in Statistics/ Biostatistics with at least six (6) years of postqualification research and/or teaching experience in designing, handling, and analyzing clinical trials/ epidemiological studies or other healthcare data sets. 

Essential skills: 

• Proficiency in statistical programming software such as R or STATA or Python 
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills. 
• Experience in teaching Statistics/Biostatistics and statistical programming. specialization in Clinical Trials) at THSTI. 
• Contribute ongoing and future clinical trials, epidemiological studies, and other healthrelated research projects by providing robust statistical expertise. 

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Teaching and Academic Contributions: 
• Deliver lectures, seminars, and workshops on Biostatistics, statistical programming, and related topics to MSc in Clinical Research students, PhD students, and CDSA/THSTI staff. 
• Develop engaging course materials, assignments, and assessments to support the MSc program. 
• Mentor students in research design, data analysis, and statistical programming, ensuring a high standard of academic and professional development.
 
2. Statistical Collaboration in Research: 
• Provide comprehensive statistical support across all phases of research studies, including clinical trials and epidemiological investigations, from design and sample size estimation to data analysis, interpretation, and reporting. 
• Collaborate on the preparation of randomization codes, statistical analysis plans (SAP), proposals, protocols, and manuscripts. 
• Prepare statistical reports, including listings, tables, and figures, for study outcomes. 
• Contribute to the implementation of advanced statistical methods and the development of innovative solutions to address methodological challenges in study design and analysis. 

3. Undertake other duties within the scope and purpose of the role to support the vision of THSTI and CDSA. 
• Will support the development on a new program on regulatory science. 

2. Teaching Associate (Clinical Research) One post 

Upto Rs. 1,92,000/- 

45 years 

Note: The pay will commensurate to the number of years of experience and performance in the Interview. 

MBBS with a Ph.D. degree in Clinical Research/ Public Health/ Epidemiology or a related field OR 
MBBS with a Master’s degree in Clinical Research/ Public Health/ Epidemiology or a related field with at least four (4) years of postqualification research and/or teaching experience OR 
Master’s degree in Clinical Research/ Public Health/ Epidemiology or a related field with at least nine (9) years of postqualification research and/or teaching experience 

Essential skills: 

• Expertise in Clinical Research Methods, including study design, biostatistics, research ethics, and regulatory requirements 
• Proven track record of involvement in clinical trials or other health research projects 
• To support the teaching needs of the M.Sc. in Clinical Research program (with a specialization in Clinical Trials) at THSTI. The faculty member will bring expertise in clinical research methods to deliver high-quality teaching and mentoring to postgraduate students. The role may also include contributions to research programs at THSTI, focusing on the design, implementation, and analysis of clinical research studies. 

1. Teaching and Academic Contributions: 

• Deliver lectures, seminars, and workshops on Clinical Research Methods, including study design, data management, research ethics, and regulatory frameworks. 
• Develop and update course materials, including assignments and assessments, to align with the MSc program's objectives and evolving industry standards. 
• Supervise and mentor MSc students in their thesis work, ensuring the integration of strong research methodologies. 
• Serve as a secondary supervisor for PhD students, fostering interdisciplinary learning and collaboration. 
• Organize and conduct training workshops and capacitybuilding programs for students and staff. 

2. Research Contributions: 

• Collaborate on clinical research studies and trials by providing expertise in study design, implementation strategies, and methodology. 
• Develop and refine research proposals and protocols for investigator-led studies. 
• Support the development of ethics and regulatory submissions for research projects. 
• Contribute to the analysis and dissemination of research findings through publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at national and international forums. 

3. Undertake other duties within the scope and purpose of the role to support the vision of THSTI and CDSA. 

4. Will support the development of a new program on regulatory science. 

3. Junior Teaching Associate (Clinical Research) One post 

Upto Rs. 1,25,000/-

40 years 

Note: The pay will commensurate to the number of years of experience and performance in the Interview. 

M.D. from a recognized university. OR 
MBBS from a recognized university with three (3) years of postqualification experience in clinical research including clinical trials. OR 
Ph.D. in Clinical Research/ Public Health from a recognized university OR 
MSc in Clinical Research or Master’s in Public Health from a recognized university, with at least three (3) 

• To support the teaching needs of the M.Sc. in Clinical Research program (with a specialization in Clinical Trials) at THSTI. The faculty member will bring expertise in clinical research methods to deliver high-quality teaching and mentoring to postgraduate students. The role may also include contributions to research programs at THSTI, focusing on the design, implementation, and analysis of clinical research studies. 
• Undertake other duties within the scope and purpose of the role to support the vision of THSTI and CDSA. years of post-qualification work experience 

Essential skills: 
• Expertise in Clinical Research Methods, including study design, biostatistics, research ethics, and regulatory requirements. 
• Proven track record of involvement in clinical trials or other health research projects. 
• Will support the development of a new program on regulatory science.
