The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune is a premier
institute dedicated to research and teaching in the basic sciences. It was established in
2006 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (renamed Ministry of Education
in August 2020). In 2012, IISER Pune was declared as an Institute of National
Importance by an Act of Parliament.
Indian Nationals fulfilling following advertised criteria may attend Walk-in Interviews for
the following position which is under the funded project:

Minimum educational
Qualification
Ph.D. in any branch of Life Sciences.
Candidates who have submitted their PhD thesis but are
yet to complete thesis defence can also apply.
Experience Candidate must have extensive experience during
Ph.D. in working with basic molecular biology
techniques like PCR, cloning, DNA / RNA extraction,

protein related work etc. Prior teaching experience,
although not mandatory, is preferred.
Job
Requirements
Incumbent is expected to conduct Molecular Biology
workshops for school and college students. This will
involve both theory and hands-on experimentation.
Therefore, the candidates must be fluent in English and
have excellent theoretical as well as practical
knowledge of basic molecular biology techniques like
PCR, cloning, DNA / RNA extraction, protein related
work etc.
Tenure
of the appointment
Initially for a period of one year, extendable for further
period subject to satisfactory performance of the
incumbent and continuation of the project.
Consolidated emoluments
per month
Rs. 52,000/-.

There will be a written test in the morning session.
Candidates shortlisted through the written test will then
be interviewed in the post-lunch session.
