Walk-in-Interview

Applications are invited to attend Interview (22.05.2025) will be held for recruitment of the One position of Project Associate - II in the Division of Plant Pathology purely on contractual basis under DBT funded research project “Mainstreaming sesame germplasm ____ and trait discovery” (24- 730B). The position is of temporary nature and co-terminus with the project. 

The eligible candidates are requested to send their application in the enclosed proforma along with photocopy of the original documents to Division of Plant Pathology, IARI, New Delhi or submit by hand before interview. Original documents of the candidates appearing interview in-person will be verified on the interview date. 

Project Associate-II 

Essential qualifications 

(i) Master's Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc or bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent; and Science and Technology

(ii) 2 years' experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Organisations and Scientific activities and services. (Research and Development)

Upper age limit: Up to 35 years

Desirable: Working knowledge of statistical tools for field data analysis (R, SAS, or SPSS)

Hands-on experience in RNA isolation, library preparation, and transcriptome data analysis (assembly, differential gene expression, pathway analysis) Familiarity with software such as CLC Genomics Workbench, Galaxy, or command-line tools (HISAT2, DESeq2, etc.)

(i) Rs 35,000/- + HRA or Scholars who are selected through 
(a) National Eligibility Tests -CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or 
(b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
