RECRUITMENT NOTIFICATION
WALK-IN-INTERVIEW FOR THE POST OF RESEARCH ASSOCIATE (RA)
Applications are invited for the recruitment of contractual positions of Research Associate (RA: 1 no), under the project “Application of genome editing to develop trait-specific varieties/hybrids in cumin (Alternaria blight) and coriander (Stem gall disease) crops”. The position is unreserved, temporary and co-terminus with the project. The eligible candidates may appear for the walk-in-interview on 15.07.2025 at 10:00 AM along with their complete bio-data in a prescribed Application Format (Annexure-I) and original certificates and photocopies of certificates.
1. Research Associate (RA) 01
Rs. 67,000/- per month (HRA as per rule) for Ph.D. and Rs. 61,000/- per month (HRA as per rule) for Master's degree holders
Essential:
with Doctoral degree: Ph.D. in Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology/ Biotechnology/Biochemistry/ Microbiology/Bioinformatics with desirable experience
OR
with master’s degree holders: Master's degree in Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology/Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Bioinformatics with 4/5 years of Bachelor's degree having lst division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average with at least three years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/ Associateship/Training/other engagements as circulated vide F. No. 2-9/20l2- HRD dated 25.04.2014 and one research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI) / NAAS rated (≥4.0) Journal as per OM SR/S9/Z-09/2018 of' DST dated 30.01.2019
Desirable:
(i) Research experience in Plant Molecular Biology & Biotechnology with knowledge of expression analysis, cloning and transformation, bioinformatics and scientific writing; as evident from Thesis/ publications in scientific journals with high impact factor.
(ii) Candidates having >2 research papers on the above area in peer-reviewed journals with a high impact factor will be preferred.
Age limits*: Maximum: 40 years for men; 45 years for women
*Relaxation in upper age limit to SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), PwD (10 years) and other eligible
categories shall be applicable as per GoI/ ICAR rules.
Important Instructions:
1. Do not send hard copies of application format or certificates by post.
2. Application format deviating from the format will not be considered and no communication in the regard will be entertained.
3. No call letters will be issued. Applicants are expected to be present at the interview venue on the said date and time. Bring hard copies of duly filled application in prescribed format along with one set of self-attested photocopies of their certificates and original certificates with two copies of recent passport size photo for verification
4. Late arrival (After 9:30 AM) of applicants for the interview will be considered as absent.
Terms & Conditions:

2. The candidates should compulsorily bring two copies of duly filled application form in the prescribed proforma only (Given in Annexure-I & II), two passport size photographs and one set of self-attested photocopies of their certificates/ mark-sheets/ experience proof etc.
Applicants must bring with them original documents at the time of interview for verification.
3. Only the candidates having essential qualifications will be entertained for the interview.
4. No objection certificate from the employer, in case he/ she has an employment.
5. Candidates arriving after the specified time may not ordinarily be entertained.
6. Canvassing in any form would lead to disqualification of the candidate.
7. No TA/ DA will be paid for attending the interview.
8. The selected candidates shall not claim for any regular appointments at this institute as the above positions are purely contractual, non-regular, time bound and are co-terminus with the project.
9. The Director, ICAR-NRCSS, Ajmer reserves the right to cancel/postpone the interview or cancel specific post without assigning any reason thereof.
10. The Director, ICAR-NRCSS, Ajmer reserves the right to terminate the contract of job as mentioned above, even before the completion of the project, for which no appeal thereof shall be entertained.
11. In case of any dispute, it will be resolved in the jurisdiction of Ajmer Court only.
12. The decision of the competent authority will be final and binding in all respects.
