Applications are invited for a temporary position of Project Assistant (ONE Position) and Project Associate (ONE position) in a project on developing AI tools/methods with cancer data. The details are provided below.

Essential Qualification: M.Sc./M.Tech. with 2 yrs experience (for Research Associate)
M.Sc./B.Tech. with some prior experience (for Research Assistant)

Preference: Experience on working with images and deep learning, Prior experience in working with Python environment is a must

Required background: Prior experience in using biological data, analytical tools and working with data-related methods and deep learning tools/framework is required. If you do not have the above experience, please do not apply. The position does not require conducting experiments in the lab.

Consolidated fixed emoluments per month:    20,000/- + HRA (for Project Assistant)
31,00 + HRA with NET/GATE and 25,000+ HRA without NET/GATE (for Project Associate)

Age Limit: 35 years

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for one temporary position of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-medical) in the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) sponsored research project under the supervision of Prof. Shailja Singh, Special Centre for Molecular Medicine, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. The details of the project, qualifications, fellowship amount etc., are following:

Title of the project: Reversing g6pd deficiency phenotype prevalent in India through drug like small molecule for malaria elimination

Post: Project Research Scientist - I (Non-Medical) - One post

Salary: - Rs. 56000 + Rs.16,800/- (30% HRA) = Rs. 72,800/- per month

Essential qualifications:  
1st Class Master’s Degree in the relevant subject (e.g., Life Sciences, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, etc.) 
OR
2nd Class M.Sc. + Ph.D. in relevant subject from a recognized university

Desirable qualifications: Candidates with experience in techniques like PCR, RT-PCR, ELISA, western blotting, flow cytometry, enzymology, experience in handling and experiments on clinical samples etc., knowledge of data analysis software (e.g., GraphPad Prism), publications in indexed journals, and previous research experience and practical knowledge of immunology, mammalian culture and parasite biology.

Note:

•    The initial appointment will be for one year or till the tenability of the project whichever is earlier and the same can be curtailed/extended based on assessment of the candidate's performance and discretion of the Competent Authority for the duration of the project.
•    Candidates must ascertain eligibility before applying. Applications of ineligible candidates will be rejected.
•    The details regarding the interview will be notified through email.
•    TA/DA will not be paid for appearing in interview.
•    In case the performance is not satisfactory, the appointment is liable to be terminated at any time without any notice.
