Walk-in-interview for Engagement of Project Staff under Projects Date & Time of Interview Venue of Interview Project Staff:

The Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (IITR), established in 1965, a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) engaged in the Research & Development in the areas of Environmental Toxicology, Predictive Toxicology, Health Risk Assessment, Preventive Toxicology, Inhalation Toxicology, Analytical Toxicology, and also National S&T Missions. IITR has two campuses; the main campus is located at the centre of Lucknow City and the other campus at a distance of approx. 20 km from the main campus. Eligible and interested candidates may attend the interview for purely temporary engagement as Project Staff under CSIR/externally funded Projects tenable at CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology research, Lucknow. Project wise vacancy positions, date of Interview and qualification details are us under:-

1. Project Assistant-II SSP-481 (01) 

Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science from a recognized University or equivalent. 

Desirable Qualification: Having exposure in R&D institutional related to air pollutants and analysis. Sampling and analysis of stack emission, Ambient air for SOx and NOx with knowledge in handling of air samplers. 

Rs. 20,000/- + (20%) HRA. 

35 years Relaxable upto 5 years in case of SC/ST, physically handicapped and female candidates and 3 years in case of OBC(NonCreamy Layer) candidates. 

SSP-481 “Contract for Monitoring of Environme ntal Parameters at Meja Thermal Power Plants for Two years.

2. Project Associate-I GAP-435 (01) 

Essential Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Chemistry or Environmental Science from a recognized University or equivalent. 

Desirable Qualification: Having 6-12 months of experience in the analysis of chemicals/environm ental samples using analytical equipments.Sampling/An alysis & Data collection from Industries and Related Research and Development 

Rs.25,000/+ (20%) HRA Per month 

35 years Relaxable upto 5 years in case of SC/ST, physically handicapped and female candidates and 3 years in case of OBC(NonCreamy Layer) candidates

3. Project Associate-I GAP-464 (01) 

Essential Qualification Master’s Degree in Biochemistry or Biotechnology or Molecular Biology or related fields from a recognized University or equivalent. 

Desirable Qualification: Candidates with experience in mammalian cell culture will be preferred. Research and Development activities in cancer biology. As per Office Memoranda viz., ANRF/OM/N01/2024, a candidate with a Master’s degree (with CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship or Gate) in the specified subjects will be provided with the monthly emoluments of Rs. 37,000/- +HRA. 

Candidates with a Master’s degree (Without CSIR-UGC-NET OR Gate) in the specified subjects will be provided with a monthly emoluments of Rs. 30,000/- + HRA. 

35 years Relaxable upto 5 years in case of SC/ST, physically handicapped and female candidates and 3 years in case of OBC (NonCreamy Layer) candidates.

4. Project Associate-I GAP-462 (01) 

Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree in Agriculture Science (Agriculture Chemistry/Soil Science/ Agricultural Biochemistry) or Chemical Engineering/Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry or M.Pharm in Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Analysis or equivalent from a recognized university. 

Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of chromatography and spectroscopy techniques (AAS, ICPMS,IR,GC/HPLC,G C/LC-MS/MS), biochemical techniques, organic synthesis and formulation development. 

Formulation development and characterizati on, conducting bio-efficacy studies, Soil/tissue sample preparation for chemical profiling and report preparation. 

(i)Rs. 37,000/- +HRA per month to a candidate who are selected through (CSIRUGC NET including Lectureship or Gate) or a selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. 
(ii) Rs. 30,000/- + HRA per month for others who do not fall under (i) above.

5. Senior Project Associate SSP-517 (01) 

Essential Qualification: PhD in Chemistry (Submitted) or Master’s degree in Chemistry with Four (4) years of experience. Analysis of water sample, report preparation and modelling. 

Rs. 42,000/-+ HRA. 

40 years Relaxable upto 5 years in case of SC/ST, physically handicapped and female candidates and 3 years in case of OBC (NonCreamy Layer) candidates. 

SSP-517 “Annual inspection of Gross Polluting Industries (GPIs) 2025 operating in river Ganga and Yamuna main stream”.

6. Project Assistant (Junior Research Assistant) GAP-465 (01) 

Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree in Biological Science/Life Science from a recognized institution or equivalent. 

Desirable Qualification: Bioinformatics (Databases development and AI/ML based predictive models). Development of Bioinformatic s databases and AI/ML based predictive models and its experimental validation via in vitro cell culture studies. 

Rs.25,000/- (Consolidated) per month. 

35 years Relaxable upto 5 years in case of SC/ST, physically handicapped and female candidates and 3 years in case of OBC (NonCreamy Layer) candidates.

7. Project-JRF(Junior Research Fellow) GAP-451 (01) 

Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree in Zoology/Biochemist ry/Biotechnology/Animal Sciences With GATE/NETLS/ICMRJRF/Biotechnology eligibility test. Carried out the proposed research work. 

1 st and 2nd year Rs. 37,000/-+ HRA per month; 3 rd year Rs. 42,000/-+HRA Per Month. 

35 years Relaxable upto 5 years in case of SC/ST, physically handicapped and female candidates and 3 years in case of OBC (NonCreamy Layer) candidates.
