Student Internship/MSc Dissertation:
Jan–Mar 2026
ICMR-NITVAR, Pune is accepting applications for dissertation studies for master’s courses
and short-term training for students from biomedical, paramedical, public health, statistics
computer science and social sciences backgrounds. This is a centralized process and all
applications must be submitted along with a recommendation letter from the Principal or
Department Head of the respective college, committing to permit the student full-time for the
training.
Applications are invited for the Jan 2026 to Mar 2026 session.

o A scanned recommendation letter addressed to The Director, ICMR-NITVAR,
Pune
o A detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) mentioning area of work interest

đź“– General Internship Guidelines:
On joining, students must submit:
o Joining letter signed by the mentor
o Photocopies of Certificates and Aadhar card
o Letter of recommendation from their institute-original copy
o CV
o Undertaking form as per ICMR-NITVAR requirements
Students must strictly follow all rules of ICMR-NITVAR and Government of India.
Ethical guidelines are mandatory, including signing a data confidentiality agreement.
No stipend and TA/DA will be provided during the internship.
Photography inside the institute, labs, and premises is strictly prohibited.
Wearing a valid ICMR-NITVAR ID card and maintaining proper dress code is
compulsory.
Participation in activities like journal clubs, seminars, science exhibitions, Swachh
Bharat Abhiyan events, national observances, and fieldwork organized by the institute
is mandatory.
No patents or publications based on internship work can be undertaken without written
approval from the Director, ICMR-NITVAR.
Hostel accommodation will be provided subject to availability and cannot be
guaranteed. Students may be permitted to stay in the hostel upon payment of the license
fee as a matter of rule, subject to approval from the Director.
