The Division of halophyte Biology and Biotechnology at CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar is actively engaged in multidisciplinary research in frontier areas of modern biology and biotechnology such as stress genomics & proteomics, transgenic, plant-microbe interactions, metagenomics, marine biotechnology, adaptation biology, etc.
We are looking for young, talented & motivated persons in project “Soil nutrients, enzyme activities and microbial community in natural farming of coastal and semi-arid agroecosystems of Gujarat (Project No.: GAP 2167 )” funded by the GSBTM, Gandhinagar, sponsored Project

Essential Qualifications: M. Sc. Microbiology / Biotechnology
Walk-in interview on 2nd January 2026 (10.00AM-1.00PM) at CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar
Desirable: work experience in soil nutrient and microbial analysis, Real-time PCR and Next-generation-sequencing
Emoluments: (i) Rs. 31000/- + HRA@pm for M. Sc. (Microbiology / Biotechnology) scholars who are selected through (a) National eligibility tests-CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) a selection process through National level examinations conducted by central government departments and their agencies and institutions. (ii) Rs. 23213/- fixed @pm for others i.e. M.Sc. (Microbiology / Biotechnology) who do not fall under (a)and (b) above.
