Walk-in-interview will be held at ICAR-National Bureau of Agricultural Insect Resources, Hebbal, Bengaluru, to recruit YP-II for under ICAR Project entitled "Network Project on Agricultural Bioinformatics and Computational Biology" The eligible candidates may appear for the walk -in-interview on 20th January, 2026 at 10:00 AM along with their complete bio-data in the application format furnished in pages 3-4. 2. No call letters will be issued. Applications are expected to be present at the interview venue on the said date and half an hour before the scheduled time. 
3. Late arrival (After 10.30 AM) of applicants for the interview will be considered as ABSENT 

A detail of the position is given below:

Nature of the work Field sample collection. Surveys, maintenance of insect culture, insect tissue and DNA repositorics, DNA extraction, RNA extraction, PCR q-RTPCR, Sequence analysis and GenBank submission for insect specimens.

Young Professional II (YP-II) at Laboratory Division of Genomic resources

Essential: MSc in Agricultural Entomology/Molecular Biology/Life Sciences (Biotechnology)/ Bioinformatics 

Desirable:

1. Candidates with experience in handling inseet collection & laboratory rearing/insect molecular biology /biotechnology as evident by research publications in peer-reviewed journals and rescarch work in an M.Sc. thesis will only be preferred. 
2. Experience in getting associated with field surveys, collection, and molecular characterization of inseets. 
3. Experience in rearing insects, insect DNA/RNA extraction, PCR & qRTPCR, developing DNA barcoding etc
4. Experience in sequence analysis software for Sanger sequencing. (Exclusively for Indian nationals only) 

Emoluments Rs. 35000/-per month
