Call for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for BIRAC Project
Eligible candidates are invited for a WALK-IN INTERVIEW at ICAR-Central Institute of
Fisheries Education, Mumbai, for the temporary Junior Research Fellow position in
the BIRAC-sponsored project entitled “Scaling up of seed production of Seabream,
Acanthopagrus berda employing nanotechnological interventions for enhancing its
farming potential”.
No. of Fellowships : one
Duration : 18 months
Emoluments : Junior Research Fellow (JRF) @ Rs. 37000/- month
plus 30% HRA for first and second years=48100/- per
month
Qualification
Essential : M.F.Sc/MSc in Zoology or Life Science. Preference
will be given to NET (ICAR/UGC/CSIR) or GATEqualified candidates.
Desirable : Knowledge in fish breeding/nanotechnology and
experience in relevant areas of work.
General Instructions
1. The eligible candidates may attend the WALK IN INTERVIEW to be held at ICARCIFE, Panch Marg, Yari Road, Versova, Mumbai, on Wednesday, 25
th March
2026, at 11.00 Hrs, along with biodata and original Certificates/ Mark sheets, etc.
Documentary evidence of experience/ working background, such as dissertation/
publication, etc., should also be produced.
2. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
3. The above positions are PURELY TEMPORARY on a contractual basis and coterminus with the project or may be terminated earlier.
4. In the event of being selected, candidates must join the project with 15 days' notice.
