Project Development and Validation of a High-Throughput Genome- Wide
SNP array for Sugarcane (Saccharum Spp.)

Essential Qualifications
1. Master’s degree in Bioinformatics or Biotechnology with
Bachelor’s degree in any life science discipline, “preference will be
given to candidate with plant genomics background” Candidates
must have a minimum of 60% marks in postgraduation.
2. The candidate must have qualified any one of the following :-
a. Scholars who are selected through NET – CSIR-UGC NET including
Lectureship (Assistant Professorship ) or GATE.
b. The selection Process through National Level examinations
conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies
and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR,
IARI, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.
Desirable qualification Research experience in genomics data handling (SNP discovery,
array design, bioinformatics analysis, etc.)
Scientific writing as evidenced from publication/ fellowship/
associateship/ training
