Applications are invited from Indian citizens for the post of Project Assistant (on contract) for the
research project entitled "Mapping of leaf pinna architectural mutation(s) enhancing root yield using
forward genetic screens in Akarkara (Anacyclus pyrethrum var depressus)" vide sanction order
ANRF/ARG/2025/010215/LS dated 25-03-2026, sponsored by Anusandhan National Research
Foundation (ANRF) under Advanced Research Grant (ARG) to Dr. Tripta Jhang (PI at CSIRCIMAP) and Dr. Isha Sharma (Co-PI at CSIR-CIMAP), Dr. Prasanta Kumar Raut (Co-PI at CSIRCIMAP) and Prof. Rajesh Kumar Tewari (Co-PI at the Lucknow University).
The duly completed
application form, along with attested copies of supporting documents must reach the Co-Principal
Investigator (Co-PI): Prof. Rajesh Kumar Tewari, Department of Botany, University of
Lucknow, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh (226007) within 15 days from the date of the advertisement.
The envelope should be superscribed as "Application for the post of Project Assistant for ANRFARG-funded project”. A soft copy (scanned copy) of the duly filled and signed copy of the
application form along with all the certificates should also be sent on the email

B.Sc. in Botany/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/
Biochemistry or allied branch of Life Sciences or equivalent.
M.Sc. in Botany/ Plant Science/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/
Biochemistry or allied branch of Life Sciences or equivalent with First
class at the qualifying examination, GATE/NET/SLET qualification;
Lab
experience in the field of Plant Morphology/ Anatomy / Plant Physiology
and Biochemistry; Computer proficiency.
Rs. 32,400/- per month fixed
Max. 50 years [as per ANRF norms]
