ONE RA position is available in the Systems Biology for Biofuel Group, ICGEB, New Delhi,
for a DBT-sponsored project titled “Indigenous cyanobacteria for value-added carbon
capture, utilization and storage (Cy-CCUS)”.
Duration: The position is available initially for 1 year and is extendable, subject to
satisfactory performance and fund availability. The maximum project duration is 2 years.
Job description: The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting research in
accordance with project objectives.
Other responsibilities include:
• Ensuring timely execution of the work as per the timeline for the project.
• Preparing regular, detailed progress reports as and when asked by the PI or DBT.
• Placing and tracking orders for required chemicals.
• Traveling to collaborating institute(s) when needed, for the duration needed.
• Preparation of manuscripts and presentations related to your work.
• Work closely with other team members (both within the institute and with other
collaborating institutes) and provide them with any assistance as needed.
Qualifications: The incumbent should have a Ph.D. in Natural/ Agricultural Sciences/
Biotechnology from a recognized University or equivalent. Candidates must have prior
experience with handling cyanobacterial strains and high-density cultures.
Preference will be
given to candidates with research experience in cyanobacterial proteomics, molecular biology,
and Omics analyses.
Salary: The salary and HRA for the position will be per DBT norms, based on qualifications
and experience.
