This project examines the genetic divergence between
subspecies across multiple bird species complexes.

Minimum
Qualifications
Essential:
Graduate degree.
Desirable:
● At least 70% or equivalent grade in B.Sc. Degree.
● Candidates with a valid 2-wheeler and 4-wheeler
driving license and experience.
● Interest and motivation in biogeography studies
● Experience with ecological research
● Experience with basic molecular biology study including
DNA extraction, PCR, post-PCR trouble shooting, data
analysis, basic administration of projects and report
writing.
● Experience in phylogenetic analysis
● Experience with R Programming and Shell Scripting
Fellowship INR 20,000 + 9% HRA
Age Not more than 50 years as on the closing date of
the advertisement.

Tenure The initial offer will be for six months and renewable subject
to satisfactory performance. The position is temporary and
co-terminus with the project.
