Recruitment for the post of “Field Assistant” under RNPF - funded project Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Tirupati is a premier autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, for the promotion of high-quality science education and research in the country. The institute invites applications from Indian nationals for the following position purely on a contract basis:

Description This project examines the genetic divergence between subspecies across multiple bird species complexes.

Minimum Qualifications 
Essential: Graduate degree. 

Desirable: 

● At least 70% or equivalent grade in B.Sc. Degree. 
● Candidates with a valid 2-wheeler and 4-wheeler driving license and experience. 
● Interest and motivation in biogeography studies 
● Experience with ecological research 
● Experience with basic molecular biology study including DNA extraction, PCR, post-PCR trouble shooting, data analysis, basic administration of projects and report writing. 
● Experience in phylogenetic analysis 
● Experience with R Programming and Shell Scripting 

Fellowship INR 20,000 + 9% HRA 

Age Not more than 50 years as on the closing date of the advertisement. 

No. of post Two (2) 

Tenure The initial offer will be for six months and renewable subject to satisfactory performance. The position is temporary and co-terminus with the project.
