Position Available

Bioinformatics Research Fellow – 1 position

  • Qualifications: PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or Genomics. Candidates with a M.Sc. in Bioinformatics and at least 5 years of demonstrated experience in big data analytics, GWAS, next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis, and handling large-scale multi-omics datasets are also eligible to apply.
  • Key Responsibilities: Perform post-WES data analysis including variant annotation, filtering, prioritization, and ACMG/AMP-based variant classification. Conduct reanalysis of unsolved cases, population genetics studies, and interpretation of IRD-related variants. Manage genomic databases and workflows, support ClinVar submissions, coordinate with sequencing laboratories, and contribute to scientific publications and data reporting.
  • Required Skills: Linux, Python and R; GATK4, bcftools, VEP, PLINK, KING, BEAGLE, hap-IBD, AutoMap and IGV; ACMG/AMP and VUS interpretation with in-silico tools (CADD, REVEL, SpliceAI, AlphaMissense); confident use of gnomAD-SAS, ClinVar and related databases; reproducible workflows (Nextflow or Snakemake, git); strong statistics and proven experience handling genetic data at scale.

Salary: ₹35,000 – ₹50,000/ month (Commensurate with qualifications and experience)

Clinical Image Grader – 2 nos

  • Qualifications: B.Sc/M.Sc in optometry or M.Sc in life science with good experience in clinical imaging.
  •  Key Responsibilities: Grade, annotate, label, segment and measure multimodal images to standardised protocols, including dataset preparation for the AI genotype-prediction work, and check image quality and gradability on intake. Maintain grading SOPs and inter- and intra-grader reproducibility.
  • Required Skills: Trained optometrist with knowledge of multimodal image reading and grading (OCT, OCT-A, fundus, FAF, wide-field, perimetry, ERG) on Heidelberg, ZEISS and Diagnosys systems; image labelling, annotation, segmentation and measurement; dataset preparation for AI; strong reproducibility, QC mindset and DICOM metadata handling.

  • Qualifications: B.Sc. Life Science graduates with a strong passion for scientific research and a demonstrated interest in long-term career development in clinical and genetic research are encouraged to apply.
  •  Key Responsibilities: Receive, label, log and store blood and DNA samples with full chain of custody, carry out DNA isolation and QC, and maintain the EDTA tube inventory and minus 80 storage. Coordinate batched shipment to the sequencing lab, keep all sample records linked to registry IDs, monitor freezers, and follow SOPs throughout.
  • Required Skills: Sample tracking or LIMS, lab discipline, and a working understanding of the full sequencing workflow from draw to report.
