Qualifications
Post Graduate Degree in Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology
/ Biomedical Sciences / Genetics / Life Sciences with three years postqualification experience in the relevant subject
OR
Post Graduate Degree in Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology
/ Biomedical Sciences / Genetics/Life Sciences with PhD in the
relevant subject.
Desirable
1. Experience of working in Klebsiella pneumoniae diagnostics and
CRISPR-Cas technology for diagnostics.
2. Hands-on experience with antimicrobial resistance studies, especially
in Klebsiella pneumoniae and other Gram-negative bacteria, and
experience in bacterial resistance profiling.
3. Knowledge of diagnostic platform development, particularly in
relation to point-of-care testing or low-cost diagnostic systems.
4. Proficiency in molecular biology techniques (e.g., nucleic acid
extraction, qPCR, multiplex PCR, LAMP, gel electrophoresis,
sequencing, etc.) and bioinformatics tools for genome sequence
analysis and diagnostics.
5. Strong analytical, problem-solving skills with the ability to
troubleshoot experimental issues, and project management skills
