Bose Institute, Kolkata, invites application from Indian Citizens for temporary position for One Project
Associate-II (PA-II) for the ANRF-ARG sponsored project entitled “Discovery of a protein kinase moonlighting to
promote de novo nucleosome assembly and its implication in chromatin organization” under the supervision of
Dr. Smarajit Polley (Principal Investigator), Associate Professor, Department of Biological Sciences.
The project is
tenable upto 18-March-2029 and the position is coterminous with the project. Appointment will be initially for
one year and may be extended based on the satisfactory work progress and availability of the fund in the project.
Details of qualification, monthly Emoluments, age etc.
are as follows:
(A) Project Associate (PA)-II : One (01) position
Qualification Four years Bachelor’s
Degree in Natural or Agricultural
Sciences / Master’s Degree in Natural or
Agricultural Sciences / BVSc/B.Pharm or
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or
Technology or Medicine from a
recognized University or equivalent and
two years experience in R&D in
industrial and Academic Institutions or
Science and Technology Organizations
and Scientific activities and services
35 years
(relaxable in case of
SC/ST/OBC/PWD
candidates only, as per
govt. rule
(i) Rs. 42,000/- + HRA to
scholars who are selected through
(a)
National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET
including Lectureship (Assistant
Professorship) or GATE or
(b) A selection
process through National level
examinations conducted by Central
Government Departments and their
Agencies and Institutions.
(ii) Rs.33,000/- + HRA for others who do
not fall under (i) above.
Desirable qualification: Familiar with recombinant DNA technology, protein expression and purification,
basic UV-Vis and fluorescence spectroscopy techniques.
