Aravind Medical Research Foundation (AMRF), Madurai is a multidisciplinary research institute, recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Govt. of India, which conducts basic research to gain insights about vision science and commitment to finding new ways to reduce the burden of blindness. 

AMRF is recognized for Ph.D. by Madurai Kamaraj University, Alagappa University and SASTRA University. 

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for a position of Project Technical Support-III to work in the Department of Microbiology under an ICMR-funded project entitled, “Multicentric Diagnostic and Therapeutic Evaluation of a Rapid Molecular Platform for Fungal Endophthalmitis and Metagenomic Sequencing to Characterize the Microbial Spectrum in Endophthalmitis”. 

Required Qualification: Three-year graduate degree in Life Sciences/Biotechnology with three years’ post-qualification experience OR Postgraduate degree in Life Sciences. 

Experience with microbial culture, CRISPR/CAS technology, and sequencing/bioinformatics will be preferred. 

Fellowship amount: Rs. 28,000 + 20% HRA
