Internship opportunities in China for International PhD Students
1. The object of solicitation: Outstanding foreign Ph.D students who are currently doing a Ph.D (2nd or 3rd year) with a promising track record from foreign research institutions around the world, to support them in participating in 6 months of short-term research visits (Extended up to 1 year) and cooperative research activities in our research institutes. The first phase of our group is planned to support 2 people for the Agricultural Microbiology group (Rhizomicrobiome, Plant Growth-Promoting Fungi, Microbial Inoculants, Phytostimulators, Biofertilizers, Nitrogen Fixation, Phosphate/ Potassium Solubilization, Biopesticide, Induced Systemic Resistance, Abiotic Stress Tolerance, and Bioremediation).
2. Funding standard: 3000 RMB per person per month for salary with accommodation (Increase based on the progress of work), domestic transportation, and living allowances during their stay in China, as well as a free transportation allowance.
3. Requirements: Visits supported by the International Visiting Student Program must be a single visit to China. The visit period is 6 months (in months as a progressive unit), and the visit must start on August 15, 2026.
4. Research Interest & Essential Qualification
To qualify for research roles in Plant Growth-Promoting (PGP) Microbes (such as Plant Growth-Promoting Rhizobacteria or Fungi), candidates typically need a specialized academic background, strong laboratory skills, and hands-on experience evaluating microbial mechanisms
The interested researcher should have strong knowledge of the relevant research field and research evidence published in highly reputable journals in that field.
Highly preferable for Life Sciences/Microbiology, Biotechnology, Plant Genomics, Molecular Biology and Plant Science.
Other research fields will not be entertained.
