Indian nationals are invited for Online Interview (Google Meet) on 22.07.2026 at about 11 AM
for one temporary position of Project Fellow under project “Unlocking early diagnosis by
discovery and screening of circulatory biomarkers from extracellular vesicles of gastric
cancer patients with the goal develop a robust risk-stratification model” in the School of
Biological Sciences, NISER Bhubaneswar funded by the Science and Technology Department,
Government of Odisha.
QUALIFICATION:
Essential: Candidates must have M.Sc. (minimum 60% marks) in Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/
Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology/ Microbiology/ Zoology/ Physiology/ Bioinformatics and other
equivalent streams in Biosciences.
Desirable: Qualifying in any National level exams is desirable. Previous experience of working in a
biology research lab with hands-on experience in techniques such as mammalian cell culture,
western blotting, immunostaining, fluorescence microscopy, H&E staining etc. Familiarity with
analyzing experimental data using statistical software and producing reports are desirable. The
candidate is expected to contribute to test or optimize new techniques, maintain lab records, data and
lab materials. The candidate should be open to sample collection from local hospitals which is a
requirement for the post. Candidate should have good communication skill and should be able to
work in a team.
Monthly Emoluments: ₹30,000/- (Consolidated)
AGE LIMIT: 28 years as on 17.07.2026, age relaxation to entitled categories as per rules.
The above position is purely temporary for a period of one year (further extendable based
on the satisfactory performance of the candidate) or completion of project whichever is
earlier and strictly co-terminus with the project and not leading to any PhD degree in
NISER. It would, therefore, not confer any right/ claim, implicit, or explicit for
consideration/ absorption against any NISER post.

along with a detailed CV, self-attested copies of all the educational certificates, birth certificate
and work experience certificate (if any) by email along with the application to
