Applications are invited on prescribed form for the one position of the Research Associate-l @ Rs. 58,000/-per month + 18% HRA in the Centre of Excellence project “Development and Integration of Advanced Genomic Technologies for Targeted Breeding”, CSS-45 (PC-6372), SubProject-9 at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana”, funded by Govt. of India, Ministry of Science & Technology, DBT, New Delhi with the details given below:-
Research Associate-I
Title of the Subproject: “RNA interference technology for insect resistance and genomics assisted improvement of shelf life in guava”
Educational Qualifications:
- B. Sc. Biotechnology/Agriculture/Horticulture/Biosciences/B.Tech. Biotechnology with minimum OCPA. of 6.00/10.00 or 60% marks.
- MSc. in Biotechnology/Fruit Science /Molecular Biology and Biotechnology/Agricultural Biotechnology/ Plant Breeding and Genetics with minimum OCPA of 6.50/10.00 OCPA or 65% marks
- Ph.D. in Biotechnology / Fruit Science /Molecular Biology and Biotechnology/Agricultural Biotechnology/ Plant Breeding and Genetics with minimum OCPA of 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks.
Maximum age: 35 years
Note-I: The candidates who do not possess a Master’s degree in the relevant subject but possess a Ph.D. degree in the discipline required at the Master’s level shall be eligible for the post.
Note-II: Desirable: Experience of working in the areas of Molecular Breeding, Plant Biotechnology, Crop Genomics.
Note-III: The candidates should ensure that they fulfill the qualifications by the last date of submission of application.
Applications form should be submitted on or before the last date along with the application fee of Rs. 200/- as online payment on any working day from 9.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. in favor of the Comptroller, PAU, along with the attested copies of certificates.

The candidate should appear for interview on 11.08.2026 at 11.00 a.m. in the office of Director, Gurdev Singh Khush Institute of Genetics, Plant Breeding and Biotechnology. Only selected candidates will be informed through email. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
