Aravind Medical Research Foundation (AMRF), Madurai, is a multidisciplinary research institute recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Government of India. AMRF conducts basic and translational research in vision science with a commitment to developing innovative solutions to reduce the burden of blindness.
The institute is recognized for Ph.D. programmes by Madurai Kamaraj University, Alagappa University, and SASTRA University. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the position of Project Technical Support-III to work in the Department of Microbiology under the ICMR-funded project: "Multicentric Diagnostic and Therapeutic Evaluation of a Rapid Molecular Platform for Fungal Endophthalmitis and Metagenomic Sequencing to Characterize the Microbial Spectrum in Endophthalmitis."
Essential Qualification
• Three-year Graduate Degree in Life Sciences/Biotechnology with three years of post-qualification experience, OR
• Postgraduate Degree in Life Sciences/Biotechnology.
Desirable Experience Candidates with experience in microbial culture, CRISPR/Cas technology, sequencing, and bioinformatics will be preferred.
Fellowship: ₹28,000/- per month + 20% HRA (as per ICMR norms)
