Applications are invited from eligible candidates to work in the “Department of Biotechnology”
sponsored research project entitled “Sustainable and translational biorefinery approach using
solar photovoltaics and pulsed electric/magnetic field for valorizing cyanobacterial/microalgal
biomass” for a period of two years, under the supervision of Dr. G. MURALITHARAN, Professor,
Department of Microbiology, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli – 620 024.
Research Associate-II (01 No.)
Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Life Sciences or
equivalent from a recognized University. Three years of experience in cyanobacterial /
microalgal related research and development in industrial / academic institutions and proven
track record of scientific activities in the form of publications is mandatory.
Experience: Prior research experience in cyanobacterial / microalgal cultivation, downstream processing, and characterization will be preferred.
Proposed Emoluments: Rs. 61,000/- + 18% HRA (10,980/-) pm = Rs. 71,980/- pm.
Project Associate-I (01 No.)
Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Life Sciences or equivalent.
Experience: Prior research experience in cyanobacterial / microalgal isolation, cultivation,
and mass cultivation will be preferred.
Proposed Emoluments: Rs. 25,000/- + 18% HRA (4,500/-) pm = Rs. 29,500/- pm.
Project Assistant (01 No.)
Essential Qualification: B.Tech / M.tech Biotechnology / Integrated Biotechnology / B.Sc.,
/ M.Sc. in Botany / Zoology / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Any life sciences degree.
Experience: Proven experience on microalgal / cyanobacterial culture purification and
maintenance is preferred.
Proposed Emoluments: Rs. 20,000/- + 18% HRA (3,600/-) pm = Rs. 23,600/- pm.
