Walk-in-interview will be held on 01.09.2026 at 10.00 hrs. at Veraval Research Centre of
CIFT, Matsya Bhavan, Bhidia, Veraval for the post of (1) one YOUNG PROFESSIONAL-I on
contract basis under SCSP for hiring of Short Term Technical Manpower for laboratory and other
works for one year. Eligible and desirous Schedule Caste (SC) candidate fulfilling all the
requirements should come for an interview with duly filled bio-data with full details of academic
qualification and experience(s) along with attested copies as well as original copy of the relevant
documents and a recent passport size photograph on the attached proforma.

Essential:
B.F.Sc /B.Sc in Marine
Biology/Marine Science/ Zoology
/Life Science /Microbiology
/Chemistry/Any Bachelor Degree
in Science.
Desirable: Experience of working
in fisheries science, laboratory
related works, training etc.
(Short term recruitment is in accordance with ICAR Guidelines dated 13.07.2015).
Terms and conditions:
1. Registration will begin at 09.00 a.m. and will close at 10.30 a.m.
2. Only Indian citizens are eligible for appearing in Walk-in-interview.
3. Age limit: The minimum age will be 21 years and Maximum 45 years as on the date of
interview. Age relaxation of 5 years for SC candidates is permissible
4. Period of contract service is initially for one year from the date of joining, may be
extendable based on the yearly evaluation if required.
5. The Young professional-I position is purely on temporary basis required for SCSP activities.
The selected candidates shall have no right/claim for regular appointment or absorption at
ICAR-CIFT at any point of time.
6. The candidates having essential qualification prescribed in the advertisement will only be
considered for interview.
7. Candidates are requested to ensure their eligibility like age, qualification, caste etc. before
appearing for the interview.
8. Candidates are required to submit self-attested copies of all the Certificates such as Proof for
Age, Caste, BFSc/BSc. certificate, CV along with experience and support of their claims
regarding age, scheduled caste/scheduled tribe/ etc. The original certificates shall be
produced for verification before the interview.
9. Candidates should bring detailed bio-data affixing a recent passport size photograph and
declaration duly signed in the application form annexed.
10. No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview.
11. Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to cancellation of candidature or
termination.
12. The selected candidates will be stationed at Veraval, Gujarat and may have to conduct field
work involving frequent travel and survey as and when required.
13. Selected Candidates will be required to produce all original documents at the time of Joining
for verification purpose.
14. The selected candidate will be required to produce medical certificate at the time of joining.
15. The Director, ICAR-CIFT, Cochin reserves the right to cancel/postpone the interview
without assigning any reason thereof.
16. The decision of the Director, ICAR-CIFT, Cochin will be final and binding on all aspects.
17. The Director shall also reserve the right to terminate the contract of job as mentioned above,
even before the completion of one year for which no appeal thereof shall be made.
