Applications are invited from eligible candidates to work on the following post(s) on a contract basis in a research project funded by an external agency at LEPRA Soceity – Blue Peter Public Health and Research Centre (BPHRC), Hyderabad, as per the details below.

Name of the Post: Project Technical Support – III

Duration: 30 months (Initial appointment for approximately 6 months; extendable up to 30 months based on satisfactory performance and project requirements)

Project Title: Multi centric study on Prevalence, Antimicrobial Resistance, Disinfectant Efficacy, and Genomic Characterization of Nontuberculous Tuberculosis Mycobacteria (PARDiG-NTM Study)

Funding Agecny: Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Govt. of India

Nature of the work/respobsiblities and expections

• Sample collection, mycobacterial culture, and drug/disinfectant susceptibility testing (DST).
• Specimen processing, microscopy, culture, and MGIT 960.
• DNA/RNA extraction, PCR/qPCR, agarose gel electrophoresis, and NGS (WGS/gene expression).
• Media preparation, aseptic culture handling, and BSL-2+/3 laboratory practices.
• Laboratory documentation, data entry, reporting, and manuscript support.
• Coordination with clinicians and collaborating institutes (JIPMER, NIMS, AIIMS).
• Ensure biosafety and ethical compliance.
• Perform other project-related duties assigned by the Principal Investigator.

Education qualification: Three year Graduation (Life Science Subjects) + Three-year experience in relevant subject/field. OR
Post graduate in Microbiology /Bioptechnology/Medical Laboratory Technology.

Only shortlisted candiates will be called for Interview.

Age : (35 years), relaxation as per Govt. norms as applicable/As per the Institute norms.

Salary Range : 28,000 + 30% HRA (As per ICMR guidelines) (CTC applicable as per the Institute norms)
