Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling a purely temporary position in the “Short-Term Research
Fellowship” programme, under the supervision of Dr. Amarjeet Singh, Scientist, BRIC-NIPGR. The details of the
position are as under:
Name of Position: Senior Research Fellow (SRF) - One Post;
Emoluments: ₹42,000/- plus HRA per month.
Eligibility: Candidates having a Master’s degree (with 60% marks or equivalent) in any other branch of Life
Science/ Biological Science with two years of research experience post Master’s degree and fulfils the eligibility
criteria mentioned in the DST Office Memorandum: DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated June 26, 2023, are eligible to
apply.
Desirable Qualification: A candidate with prior research experience in Plant Molecular Biology, Plant Tissue
Culture and CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing will be given preference.
The initial appointment will be for one year, and the same can be curtailed/extended based on assessment of the
candidate's performance and discretion of the Competent Authority.
BRIC-NIPGR reserves the right to select the
candidate against the above post depending upon the qualification and experience of the candidate. Reservation of
posts shall be as per the Government of India norms. The appointment may be terminated at any time by giving
one month's notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim, implicit or explicit, for consideration against
any regular position of BRIC-NIPGR

soft copies of the mark-sheets, certificates (from Class X onwards) and proof of research experience/publications.

should be “Application for the Post of STRF- SRF”. Candidates must verify their eligibility before applying, as
ineligible candidates will not be interviewed. Only the shortlisted candidates will be informed through email, and
the interview will be held online. Canvassing in any form or bringing influence, political or otherwise, will lead to the
disqualification of the candidate(s).
Note: ONLY a soft copy of the application in the given format will be accepted. No TA/DA will be paid for
attending the interview. For any clarification, candidates may contact the scientist in charge through email only.
