For ANRF Funded Project entitled “Prototype development and functional evaluation of a novel doublebarrel autologous Platelet rich plasma isolation device” P.8283
Project Associate II
Qualification (Essential) :
(i) Master’s degree in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry /
Molecular Biology / Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent from a
recognized University with 60% or above marks.
(ii) Qualified in any of the National Eligibility Test like – GATE or UGC-CSIRNET or selected under National Level Exam conducted by agencies like
DST, DBT, ICMR, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, IIT, IISc, IISER, SCTIMST, etc.
or equivalent bodies.
Experience (Essential) : Two years’ experience in R&D in Industrial or Academic Institutions or
Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and service
Experience (Desirable) : Experience in handling blood and blood products, Cell Culture, ELISA
molecular biology techniques
Job description : Development and assembly of a medical devices, Invitro experiments,
handling of blood samples, validation of devices, documentation and
preparation of reports.
Monthly emoluments : Rs.42,000/- + 20% HRA
Age limit as on 01.08.2026 : 50 years
No. of vacancies : Existing—1 ST (Backlog) (In the absence of eligible ST candidates, UR will
be considered.)
Duration : Initially for a period upto 31.03.2027, likely to be extended upto
09.06.2029.

Eligible candidates are required to apply ONLINE through Institute website (Link given below) and upload
scanned copies of certificates to prove age, qualifications, experience and a valid caste certificate (for ST
candidates) in the prescribed format applicable for employment in Central Govt. Institutions issued by a
Revenue Officer not below the rank of a Tahsildar.
The applications will be screened and eligible candidates will be called for an Interview to be conducted at the
Biomedical Technology Wing of the Institute at Poojappura, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 012. Intimation
regarding the schedule of interview will be sent to their email id provided in the ONLINE application form.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Experience wherever prescribed means experience gained
AFTER acquiring the prescribed essential qualification.
Note : Depending on the number of candidates, a written test of a qualifying nature will be conducted for initial
screening and only qualified candidates will be called for interview. Marks obtained in the written test, if conducted,
will not be counted for final ranking.
