Walk-in-Interview on Monday, October 5th, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. onwards for the post of one Junior Research Fellow Candidates are invited to appear before the selection committee for a walk-in-interview to fill the purely temporary position of one Junior Research Fellow in the Institute, in the “Short-Term Research Fellowship” programme, under the supervision of Dr. Senjuti Sinharoy, Scientist, BRIC-NIPGR. The details of the position are as under. 

Junior Research Fellow (one Post): 

Emoluments 37,000/- plus HRA per month. 

Qualification: Candidates should have Master’s degree or an equivalent in any branch of Life Sciences/Microbiology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology or any other related field with two years’ post-master’s degree, experience of research in the relevant areas and having CSIR-UGC NET/GATE/DSTINSPIRE and fulfilling the guidelines/norms of DST OM No: DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated June 26, 2023 are eligible to apply. 

Furthermore, candidates with strong microbiological skills and experience in plant-symbiotic interactions will be given preferences. 

The above position is completely temporary and for a maximum of one year. The initial appointment will be for one year, and the same may be curtailed/extended based on the assessment of the candidate's performance and the discretion of the Competent Authority. 

NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate for the above post based on the candidate's qualifications and experience. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The appointment may be terminated at any time by giving one-month notice by either side. 

The applicants will have no claim, implicit or explicit, for consideration against any regular position of BRIC-NIPGR. Eligible candidates may appear for a walking interview at the BRIC-National Institute of Plant Genome Research (BRIC-NIPGR), Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi-110067, on Monday, October 05, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. Candidates must ascertain their eligibility before coming, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed. All candidates are requested to appear for the interview with a complete bio-data in the given format, along with original degree/experience certificates and transcripts for verification.
