Walk-in Interview 5th October, 2026 at 10:00 am:
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary position of one Research
Associate-I (RA-I) in the DBT Multi-institutional project entitled ‘Enhancing regeneration and editing
efficiency in groundnut and pigeonpea for trait improvement’. The details of the position are as follows.
Name of the Position: Research Associate – I (RA-I)- 01 posts.:
Emoluments as per DB/DST norms.
Essential Qualification: Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria mentioned in the DST Office Memorandum
number DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated 26/06/2023 to be an RA-I and having Master’s degree in
Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Microbiology/Life Sciences with at least 65% (or equivalent) marks.
The candidate
must have a Ph.D. and experience in tissue culture and/or genome editing. Candidates with experience in legume
tissue culture, as reflected in publications, will be given preference.
The above positions are completely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
The fellowship amount for the
above position is as per DST/DBT norms and as sanctioned in the project. The initial appointment for the above
post will be for one year or until the project's tenability, whichever is earlier, and the tenure of the post may be
curtailed/extended based on the assessment of the candidate's performance and at the discretion of the Competent
Authority.
BRIC-NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the
qualifications and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be in accordance with the Government of
India norms. The appointment may be terminated at any time by giving one month's notice by either side.
The
applicants will have no claim, implicit or explicit, for consideration against any regular position of BRIC-NIPGR.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in-interview.
Emoluments. ₹58,000/- (Fifty-eight thousand only) plus 27% HRA, as sanctioned in the project.
Eligible candidates may come for the walking interview on 5th October, 2026 at 10:00 am.
