Recruitment for the post of “Project Associate-II/Senior Research Fellow”
under DBT, MoST, Govt. of India funded project
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Tirupati is a premier autonomous
Institution established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, for promotion of highquality science education and research in the country.
The institute invites applications from Indian nationals for the following position purely on a
contract basis:
Name of the post Project Associate II/Senior Research Fellow
Name of the project “Unravel the functional role of MYB96 transcription factors for
improvement of drought tolerance and oil content in oilseed
crops Indian mustard and groundnut”.
Description: Generate transgenic groundnut lines for trait
improvement.

Minimum qualifications
Essential:
Four years Bachelor's Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences /
M.Sc. in Botany / Life sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry /
Agricultural sciences / Plant sciences (OR) equivalent degree and
Two years’ experience in R&D in industrial and academic
institutions or Science & Technology organizations and scientific
activities and services.
Desirable:
• Experience in Plant Tissue culture and Plant Molecular Biology.
Fellowship
(i) Rs. 42,000/- + 10% HRA per month (Consolidated) with
National Eligibility Tests CSIR / UGC NET-JRF or DBT JRF,
GATE or A selection process through National level
examinations conducted by Central Government
Departments and their Agencies and Institutions
(ii) Rs. 33,000/- + 10 % HRA per month (Consolidated) for
others who do not fall under (i) above.
Tenure The initial offer will be for six months and renewable subject to
satisfactory performance. The position is temporary and coterminus with the project.
Age Not more than 50 years as of the closing date of the application.
