Applications are invited for a walk-in interview for recruitment of following positions on
contractual basis at Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST) Garchuk,
Guwahati (Assam) under the DBT Ramalingaswami Re-entry project entitled "Understanding the
virulence mechanism of Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus on citrus and developing disease control
strategies."
Details of the position for the project:
Project Assistant I
Stipend: Rs 27,000.00 per month (consolidated).
Date of interview: 02.11.2026; 10:00 AM Onward
Essential Qualification & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology/ Microbiology/
Biochemistry/ Pharmacy/ Botany from a recognized university.
Age limit: 28 years (Relaxation as per GOI guidelines).
Desirable Qualification: Master's degree in Biotechnology /Microbiology/PlantBiotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Pharmacy/ Botany from a recognized university.
Note:
- The initial appointment will be for a period of one year. Position are co-terminus with the
project. The responsibilities of the selected candidate include conducting experiments, assisting in experimental preparations, organizing data collection, and writing of manuscripts for publication.
Candidates are required to produce all original documents during the interview. Additionally, they
must bring self-attested copies of their academic credentials.
