Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the post of Project Associate II in the research project "Functional dissection of
SERINC5-associated regulatory network in viral infection" funded by the ANRF.
Name of the Post: Project Associate II, Department of Biological Sciences.
Salary: Rs. 35,000.00/- per month (A) for those who
have qualified National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET Including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (B) A
selection process through national-level examinations conducted by the Central Government Department and their Agencies and
Institutes. In case of non-availability of residential accommodation, HRA @ 18% shall be admissible.

Salary: Rs. 28,000.00/- per month for candidates who have not
qualified for the above-mentioned exams. In case of non-availability of residential accommodation, HRA @ 18% shall be
admissible.
Duration: One year (subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funds) or Till the end of the project whichever is
earlier
Essential Qualification: Applicants should have a four-year Bachelor’s in Natural Sciences/or a four-year bachelor’s degree in
engineering or technology or medicine or master’s degree in Natural Sciences/ Life Sciences from a recognized University/
Institution and at least two years’ experience in R&D in Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations.
Additionally, the knowledge of the functioning of a pathogenic virus research lab, proficiency in techniques such as Mammalian
cell culture, gene expression analysis, primary cell isolation and culture, immunological assays, proteomic analysis will be
preferred.
Age: Maximum age is 30 years for general candidates at the time of application (to be relaxed by 5 years for SC and ST candidates
and persons with physical disability)

an interview by email.
No TA/DA will be paid to the candidate for appearing in the interview. The selected candidate will be
